Android Enthusiast
Yes, I bugged the author of the Froyo Captivate version (Guardian_Bob) until he made it work on the Eclair Fascinate. :D

Explanation and download here.

Installation now simplified!
* Download blinky-lights-2.1.2.zip and flash it in CWM

Note that the default settings include vibration as well... might want to turn this off before you're surprised.

Wow I've been under a rock I wasnt even aware this was out at all for the SF :o.
Having said that I prefer not to have BLN on, although maybe I'll test drive this just to say I did.

Good stuff guys and thanks for the info :)

I tried out the bln app from the market this morning and I coulndt get it working properly. If I hit the test button within the app, and then press power like it said ti, nothing happened with the softkeys. I also noticed that while having bln on, not, that it matters to me much, but quadrant would show ranges from 900-990. With bln off scores were back to 1800-1900. Im on nemesis lv1200, by the way. Just sharing my experience.

Good insight.
Are you the same RickS who gifted irc with market 2.2.6 last week :D if so thanks so much.
If not good post above anyway ;)

hate to ask this but do you just flash the blinky-lights-2.1.2.apk and then have a kernel that supports it to get this to work? I have been using Geeknik's kernels which I believe do.

Also do it work with third party notifications like Touchdown? I know NoLed has some issues there.

Thanks

I flashed the zip, and installed the APK (I already had a BLN kernel)... and BLN stopped working entirely.

No big, as I have a backup...

Yep, no joy. I am running an early BLN kernel, so that must be the issue. Probably doing DJ05 later this week in any case. If there is a time that not having BLN working is ok, this is it, in any case.

any luck on this? i can't get it to work either. tried geeknik's 1.5, and 1.5.4. same issue, absolutely nothing happens when i do the power button test, and no lights flash when i send a test text from another phone either.

Download the 2.3 zip, install it in recovery, open blinky app, make sure all 3 options are checked green (on) on top, reboot phone...works great!

cool!! :D

flashing right now...

thanks!!

EDIT: it worked. here were my steps: 1) download the 2.3 .zip and .apk, 2) flash .zip using CWR, 3) install .apk, 4) enable BLN, 5) enjoy. i'm using OTB 1.1 @ 1.2ghz voodoo5 w/ SuperClean v.9.

I could not get Blinky apk to work in Blackhole 3.0. I am currently using BLN control which does work.

Anyone have trouble with bhole 3.0 and Blinky? BTW, the bhole integrated did work, but could not update from market, so di a bhole install without that one and installed apk one.

EDIT: I now have Blinky 2.4.1 installed any it only turns lights on steady for the time they are supposed to blink, then they go off. In other words, no Blinky
