I've had nothing but trouble with HTC. I'm beginning to regret getting one... Again! 3 different models and all go wrong. Am i the only unlucky one!?

This time, the problem is with my standard messages. It wont load at all, keep getting the loading circle icon. I have even left the messages open on the loading screen for 20 minutes to see if that reboots it but nothing.

I've now downloaded the handcent sms app so i can read my texts but i cant turn the stock message tone and notifications off.

Anyone know how to fix yet another problem?!

My next phone will not be a HTC. I'm going to the dark side and going to get an iphone

Go to sms > menu > settings
There are many options here which might help with you not receiving your messages.

There are also options here to cancel notifications, both visual & sound.

Cant. I click to go into the messages and it doesnt do anything apart have the loading circle spin round. I cant see any messages or click menu for settings. Just doesnt work. Its like the whole thing has been wiped off.

So touching menu does nothing?
If yes, sounds like a big glitch, factory reset would be the best option, see if that brings it back to life.
(will wipe everything so make sure you backup - stuff on sd card should be ok, but back that up too, just to be safe.)

Exactly! Think i'll try a big reset in a bit. Bloody phones are nothing but trouble! Lol
