Root Bloatware Apps safe to remove?

Just got Samsung Fascinate and You know I just have to Root this sucker to remove a bunch of Bloatware and wut-not!! Is there a list of stuff that's okay to remove without causing issues?
I'm comin' from an ultra, hot-rodded LG Ally so I know what's up, for the most part. It was a fun run with the Ally, but I think it's about gone as far as it's gonna go. We've all had our issues with "trial & Error" at some point in all this tweakin' and such. I learned a lot of cool stuff with that phone, believe it or not?
Also, what's the HOT custom Rom happening for the Fascinate right now? I can't help myself, I just gotta get in there and soup this bad-boy up a bit!!
Thanks in advance for any help and/or suggestions, I'll be around for a while up in here!! Rock on!!

So is Clockwork recovery the way to go with the Fascinate? There were a lot of issues with my Ally, as amonra was way more compatible and seemed to stick better. CWM was kinda iffy, sometimes it worked, most of the time it sucked! However, CWM has saved my ass more than a few times. I mean, I have Rom manager premium and it would be cool if it was the way to go?
If so, What other recoveries are reliable and sure-fire in a pinch? I'm ready for something solid!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you refer to CWM, you're referring to ClockWorkMod recovery THRU ROM Manager, correct? If not then I suppose I suck and you'll have to enlighten me!
Maybe I'm missing something here?

Is amonra recovery compatible with Fascinate, 2.2.1 I believe? Which is also an alternate recovery thru ROM Manager!

You can access CWM recovery via ROM manager other than that it is useless for the fascinate. Do not upgrade or install anything from ROM manager. You can boot to CWM yourself via: Power-Off, hold vol-up and vol-down, press power, when samsung shows release power. Amonra is not compatible.

Many of the newer ROMs have a boot menu built in to the power button, long press pwer and get options to boot to recovery etc...

There are some other threads that go in to all the apps that are safe but I don't actually remove them I just 'freeze' them via Titanium Backup. That way if I start having issues, I can 'thaw' them. Start with all the VZW labeled programs and go from there. Or just load a debloated rom.

Okay, I'm gonna root with SOC 1.9.5 a little later. I've used it before and haven't had any issues. Which exploit should I use (psneuter or Gingerbreak)? Is there another way to get the latest CWM recovery other than RM? I don't want to end up with NO recovery. I'm just trying to cover all my basis here before goin' deep!! Muchas Grassy-ass!!

Use Odin to install the latest CWM. And many of the newer roms are pre-rooted.

Could someone please explain this "odin" to me?
And if someone could shoot me a link to the top new custom ROM I'd be stoked!
Evil Fascinate or COM ROM or whatever? Thanks...

I still can't get into CWM Recovery to apply the zip? It goes to stock system recovery but doesn't give me option to flash anything from the SD?

I got it to work with Odin. It is pretty awesome! But for some reason it doesn't want to stick? The cwm recovery shows up at first, then when I try to get back into cwm recovery via vol up/down and power, it goes back to android system recovery? I really like this Odin deal and follwed everything to a T. Am I doing something wrong here?
