Root Bloatware, etc.

Just rooted using one-click method. Obviously a nOOb here. First thing I wanted to do was uninstall the bloat, but I read at android central that if you ever want an OTA again, you should rename instead of uninstall or delete those files. Is that true? How would I go about renaming those? Do I have to buy root explorer?

Guess I have a lot of questions. Is there a "I've rooted, now what?" kind of thread that I've missed? Thanks.

You can use Titanium Backup to freeze and unfreeze apps...it's a little easier than manually renaming things. This is in addition to its value for backing up your Angry B...err, your app data. The real issue though, is whether there is much value in receiving OTA's once you root and begin getting comfortable with flashing ROM's, kernels, etc.
