Root Bloatware on huawei ascend

not 100% sure if this is answered if it is maybe someone can point me where... im getting tired of all the extra bloatware on my phone... all the metro junk anyone having any luck on removing it?if so can you please post instructions on how to do this... TIA

You have to root the phone with something like Z4Root and install Titanium Backup and then go to applications and you can remove all that crap and speed up your phone and improve the battery!

Apparently, you'll have to root your phone to get rid of the junk. I'd love to root mine, but I'm too much of a newbie to want to. I have a friend who could probably do it, I'll be looking into it soon!

i been looking for z4root found it on xda developers dled it on my phone but cant find the app on my phone also titanium back up does it back up to a server or memory card?

Ok, I'm a new dumb ass newbie....
What does ROOT mean????

From what I understand, Root is just a term meaning; to gain higher access to add, remove, or modify protected, hidden, and/or system files.

That's just what I think briefly stated anyways.

hey thanks for the info i got all the junk of my Huawei Ascend for metro pcs off
i rooted my device and installed the prograg titanim and uninstalled all the blot ware phone is much faster thanks a milliomn

I just downloaded z4root. At start up it asks if I want a temp root or a perm root. Which one do I choose???

With temporary you will have to reroot every time you turn your phone off

Also with root you can enable wifi tether and overclock free with overclock widget

So you would be able to use your phones internet on the xbox 360 wirelessly. I heard its fast enough to use for online multiplayer with out lag

Alright well recently backed up these apps on my Huawei Ascend

~Swype
~Weather Clock
~Firmware update
~Entertainment 1.0

Uninstalled all of them soon after that and now I would like to know two things. One what the hell is Entertainment 1.0 and what does it do for my phone, i hope it wasnt important. And two I know the firmware update is very important and I would like to know how to restore it with Titanium. I removed it because it was eating up my memory all the time. So I thought why not just temporarily remove and then restore it sometime down the line when I want to.

What does ROOT mean????

root is the user name or account that by default has access to all commands and files on a Linux or other Unix-like operating system. It is also referred to as the root account, root user and the superuser.

The Android operating system is based on Linux. Getting root on your phone allows apps to do things that otherwise you could not do.
