Could someone tell me what apps that came with the phone are safe to remove? I know I removed the stock browser on my Old optimus M and my play store wouldn't work. Not ready for all that again.. thanks ahead of time

Here are all the apps I have removed. Some of them may cause an error when removed, but restart the phone and you wont get another error.

Location: /system/app
alarming.apk
BooksTablet.apk
CABLService.apk
Chrome.apk
ChromeBookmarksSyncAdapter.apk
ContactWidget.apk
Email.apk
Exchange.apk
GenieWidget.apk
GlobalTime.apk
GMS_Maps.apk
GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk
Magazines.apk
MetroAppStore.apk
MetroPCS-EasyWifi-android-4.3.138.apk
metro-totalprotection-stub-android.apk
moffice_4.9.2.apk
Music.apk
Music2.apk
MusicFX.apk
MusicWidget.apk
PlusOne.apk
privacystar-android-metro-0.1.6-aligned.apk
sihome210-metropcs-android8-prod-131425130399_app1.7_131125_480x800_PRELOAD_SIGNED.apk
SoundRecorder.apk
SRSSting.apk
Street.apk
Talk.apk
talkback.apk
Timer.apk
usermanual.apk
WeatherClock.apk
WfdService.apk
ZTE_DLNA_FullShare.apk

I can't remember where the partner-app is in the directory but from that folder you can remove the following:
answers_obfuscate-release.apk
FBAndroid-1.9.10.apk
Metro411_2.0.14.apk
metro-real-networks-1.00.66.apk
MobilePosse_MetroPCS.apk
PEX-metrolterelease-112989.apk
Rhapsody30190metro.apk
Twitter-3.4.0.apk

Pulling all that will basically leave you with an absolutely minimal, barebones ZTE Avid 4G that you can stuff with whatever you actually want from it.

Could somebody provide the location for the metroPCS 4G Mobile Hotspot .apk? I cant find that bleeping thing anywhere.

Thanks for the list, any chance this could be stickied, so others can quickly find it?

The partner-app folder is located in the same system folder, a few clicks below app. (At least for me it did, using ES File Explorer.)

Additionally, I'm curious as to the removal of the Music Apps and Video, is it so we can download alternative, better versions, or does the phone have means of playing music and watching videos without their respective applications?

Edit: I tried looking for the 4G Mobile Hotspot app...yet I can't find it. I did a little digging, and I found it to be attached to the Settings application...how is this possible?

Thanks.

If I figure out where the 4G Mobile Hotspot is located, I'll post it here. I'm wondering if it's under one of the Settings-iconed applications, but I fear touching those in fright of bricking the 4Gs.

stupid question its been a while since i had a phone i could root. last phone i had i used root uninstaller. what are you guys using to uninstall the apk?

Actually, I just discovered upon re-rooting my phone that using ES File Explorer can do a true uninstall of the files, but when I came up with the list, I had used Root Explorer and physically removed (cut/paste and/or deleted) the individual apks.
