Help Blue LED light when receiving SMS

I am using the awesome gingersteem ROM on my LG Esteem along with GO SMS.

Before using GO SMS Ex, i would get a neat little blue light in the top left hand corner of my phone whenever i receive a text message. Now that i'm using GO SMS i no longer get this little indicator light. This is useful because i dont have to pick up my phone to see if i've received a text message.

Is their a way that i can configure my phone to work with GO SMS or will i simply not be able to get the best of both worlds?

Thanks in advance.

There are a couple things that factor in the set up. I use Gosms as well and have it set to turn screen on and have a pop up. With it set up like that and since the screen turns on whether I notice the message or not means it clears the notification light. You can also set the light to blue, red, our green. Just check your settings because I'm not sure what the default is.

Thanks guys.

The settings in GO SMS did nothing to get what i wanted.

The application that was recommended didn't work for me at all. None of the settings for missed calls, sms, or email lit up any of my LEDs. Regardless of the settings, which i toggled all of them. I rebooted my phone after installing as instructed as well.

Open go sms, go to settings>notification settings>default notification settings>LED color and set it to blue, that will give you the light back. By default go sms has the color set to magenta I believe which our phone will not display, so change it to blue and it will work.

Sorry i haven't been back for awhile. Been busy.

I got my light to work without using the application. For some reason the GO SMS settings weren't sticking. I set them correctly, it didn't work. I forgot about it and the light started coming on like i wanted it to about 3 days later. Wierd.

Thanks for ya'lls help.

Speaking of this LED light... what does red mean (without considering go sms, just stock messenger) i take it blue means you have a text? maybe red means missed a call? green means nothing at all? what about no light? so confused
