Blue light, black screen!

Earlier today my phone was powered off and I was cleaning off the screen with the corner of my shirt. I flip it back over to find a blue light in the little light spot and it wouldn't power back on! I pulled the battery and it started up fine but I'm curious as to what I did and how. Anyone heard of this before?

I like to know also. My phone, however, still does not start correctly. I know the phone boots all the day because I can here the alerts but no screen - just the blue led (light) at the top left corner of the phone.
