Blue Tab

Somehow I have turned on some annoying option that puts a small blue tab at the left side of every screen I am on. Pressing this tab brings up a list of apps.

What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Hi
Is the tab for multi tasking apps. You can drag a second running app onto the screen. Long press on back button toggles it on and off.
