Help BlueAnt Q2- Voice dialing with Voice- Serendipity 3.0 problems

Hi Folks.

OK got a question for anyone using the BlueAnt Q2 bluetooth headset with ROM Serendipity 3.0.

OK THis Headset has great features and works great IF you initiate a command through an app calle VLINGO. BUT..... If you press the button on the headset and say " Call Mike Mobile", or " Phone Commands".IT says its not supported on this phone.

I have Firmware 2.2.1 on the phone and the latest firmware on the headset.

Anyone able to initiate a call to a contact or say a number by hitting the "MFB" button?

If so please let me and the community know.
Thanks
Rick

I am not sure that Serendipity supports Bluetooth voice dialing. It is supposed to be supported in Android 2.2, but I am not sure why many of the Devs do not support it in their ROMs. I just flashed my phone with Paragon tonight and it supports Bluetooth voice dialing, but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

Vlingo requires you to press a button on the screen or turn on a weird listening feature to be able to voice dial. I don't think it is integrated enough to support Bluetooth voice dialing, unless it requires Android to already support it before it does.

EDIT: So for you, and a little for myself, I went out into my freezing cold garage in shorts and a t-shirt and tested out Bluetooth voice dialing running Paragon RC3 and it worked perfectly! My bank has an automated 24 hour number that I use for test calls, so I pressed the button on my car stereo and my phone asked me to speak. I said "Call Bank" and it said, "Call Bank at Work?" I said yes, and it dialed the number! Sweet!
