Help Bluetooth alerts

I have a Motorola Razr M running Jelly Bean and I'm wondering if there is a way to stop the M from alerting and prompting me each time the phone and my Garmin GPS attempt to Sync up?. In other words I'm aware that the Garmin wants a copy of the phone book and I'm aware that the Garmin wants to pass voice and manual dialing commands to the phone and as far as I'm concerned I don't need to know this each and every time they attempt to sync. Is anyone aware of how to turn the alerting and just allow the functionality? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I've looked for a setting to help but found none. Maybe someone else can help.
