Is there some way that would allow phone calls to be routed via Bluetooth to an external device and audio out from Slacker and Pandora to output via the aux jack directly into the car?

That's exactly how mine works. I use a cable from the headphone jack to the aux in on my radio. The phone connects via bluetooth for phone calls using the handsfree profile.. Music mutes when a call comes in and starts back up after we hang up.

I have the Motorola T505 that has FM broadast. Was able to get it work as designed but it is tricky - does not always let it output both ways but it did work.

I am using headphone out jack on the Droid to cassette in. I know this isn't the best audio out solutions but it gets the job done and is very crisp and clear. Oh and before someone joke me about my antiquated setup, let me say that Lexus still put cassettes in some of their vehicles as recently as a few years ago.

It is an A2DP Bluetooth to AUX or FM bridge, as well as a Fast-charger for Android devices. It only handles stereo audio, not phone calls, but if you have a headset or other handsfree device, the phone should switch automatically between that and TuneLink.
