okay so i wanted to get a samsung fascinate or epic, with a bad ESN/or not and not activate, but instead use it as an MP3 player

i wanted to use bluetooth headphones and was hoping it would last at least 6-8 hours a day ;)

one last thing:if a phone has a bad ESN,can i still use it(as an mp3 player if you will):D
idk if it makes much sense, sorry :p

Bad esn will only prevent you from using the phones radio.....nothing else......but from what I can tell fascinates with bad esn still go for 200 bucks so it cant be that big a savings

i just want a decent MP3 player or maybe android MP3

i heard that phones last longer with bluetooth......you think i'll get anywhere around 6-8 hours of music(with bluetooth)

well compared to most pmps/mp3s i've seen out that support bluetooth......
is their anyone who has an idea of how long bluetooth would last with music(3G/wifi off)

if 6-8 hours is what i get i'm good :)
or i can get an extended battery

Longer "with" bluetooth? bluetooth drains the battery while it's on.
But it may take less power to transmit the music via bluetooth than to drive the phone's own speaker. I assume that is what he is comparing. I suspect headphones plugged into the 3.5 would use the least power, though.

Comparing apples to oranges. Phones using BT last longer because they generally have much larger batteries then MP3 players.
