Help Bluetooth and my car

Lurker
I realize that my question might be very specific but I hope someone out there has some idea of how I can handle this.
I have a new Chevrolet Equinox with built in Bluetooth capabilities. My old phone (a Samsung Rant) was able to transfer the NAME of the caller to the screen in my auto. IE When someone called it showed the persons name. Currently, what is being transferred to the screen is the phone number. Because I don't always remember everyone's phone number, it is hard for me to know who is calling.
Does anybody have any ideas of how I can change this?
Any help would be appreciated

Im not sure what year your equinox is but a quick google search and I found this suggestion,

Press (phone icon) response: READY-say STORE.... response "STORE, NUMBER PLEASE" say the complete number without pausing, the system will repeat your number and ask "Name" speak the name and it'll ask if this sounds OK, say yes, response "Storing" and then "READY" repeat process with the command-STORE
