Bluetooth fails to connect

Every once in a while, I'll notice that my phone did not connect to my car's hands-free system (the only thing that I use BT for). If I try turning BT off and back on on the phone, it then usually goes into some sort of hung state where the BT icon is dimmed as though it's not fully initialized.

At that point, I power the phone off then back on, start BT again, and it works fine, connecting with the car right away. Anyone else having similar BT issues with this phone?
 
I have the exact same problem with my car and I also only use BT with my car. Initially I would turn on the BT once I got in the car. However, it would get into the state you mentioned above. Now, I keep BT on at all times. I have seen it get into that state a couple of times so I tipically put it in airplane mode and then back to normal mode to make it work.

The phone is still too new to me to generalize, but I also noticed yesterday that it did it when I turned BT on after the car was running. Other times when I've turned BT on before getting into the car it has worked fine. So that might be the trick.

One thing different on this phone from my previous one is that notification it pops up about connecting to devices right after you enable BT. Maybe that has something to do with it, as it sees the car and expects you to explicitly connect with it even though you've previously paired with it. I'm afraid to try tapping on it since it might ask for the code again, which of course I can't remember. :-)
 
Yeah, my main problem is when I turn BT on after the car is on. I now keep BT on at all times since I never remember to turn it back on before getting in the car. My biggest concern is the battery lasting me long enough but I have been doing fine with BT on at all times.
 
I leave mine on all the time, and leave the phone on all the time, and the BT still will do that exact thing, with various devices, but mostly my Moto HS681. Thje only thing that will fix it, is a re-start. Then re-cycle the BT device off, and back on. It's like a frozen app in win 95. :mad:
 
I've got similar problem, but in addition, my phone loses the pairing. When it has the pairing it continually chimes with the message (on phone) "Phonebook lookup" or something to that effect. Maybe that's an indication of it attempting to re-pair when it loses the pairing. I had an iPhone prior to this and it worked perfectly, in the same car (Acura TL 2012)
Any how, definitely not impressed with the phone. It's frustrating!
