Help Bluetooth file transfer issues

When I try to send a bluetooth file to my friend it fails everytime. I have inc rooted virtous 2.7 he has stock droid 2. Any one know how to fix this?

I have Motorola Droid and friend with HTC and same problem. HTC & Verizon tech said it won't work. Customer Service Rep in store could get it to work by doing it 2 times (first time error, second time worked).
