Root Bluetooth Fix for Jellybean roms???

Each rom continues to improve where the other rom before it has lacked cm10.1/aokp42/pac but they all have fallen short on the bluetooth portion.! :( I just want to know if it will ever be fixed.! TDM or Neph81 would most likely be the ones to figure this problem out!

Youre aware of the rules about asking for etas on most android forums right?

The Devs don't get paid. Want working Bluetooth? Use stock. You paid the device/carrier's devs when you bought the phone and paid for service.

Not trying to be rude or anything. The bottom line though is: These devs give freely of their time to make the device better. IF they release their code. Be thankful. IF anything works. Be thankful. If there's bugs, report them and wait patiently for them to be fixed IF they even get fixed.

Im bringing light to an issue like everyone else and i know everything you just said so that was no help at all

Bringing to light a well known and reported issue and asking if/when it will be fixed? Never mind that you are not reporting in any thread applicable to any ROM or reported with any useful information (log cats for example). Instead in it's own thread with a misleading title. I for one thought maybe you were providing a code patch to fix it based on your title.

Yeah. I got that. You think you've fine something other than indirectly ask for an eta.

Yoinx: Please don't be so rude to the new people.

Beddybeezy: Unless the LG Spectrum gets an official JB release, I wouldn't count on Bluetooth getting much better. I'm not saying that it's not possible, but any fixes would most likely come from the CM team.

Rootz wiki had an article on this. Bluetooth issues are wide spread and this is tedious work. The person that was doing the fixes is no longer around. Something about many issues weren't fixed and many things were just carried over since CM 7. Tedious work being left to device updates.

With the Droid Bionic getting JB, I would hope LG spits out a JB build for this phone too.

I have no problems with BT or GPS anymore; I can even turn them off and on with no issues. I tried the nightlies and various other ROMs and so much didn't work or was half functional I gave up. Here's what I am running now.

Baseband version
VS920ZV7-M8660A-AABQNSZM-3.6.2421

CyanogenMod version

BTW, I gave up screwing with it all the time since this combination works so well, however, your results my vary...

One of tdm's beta versions did have a working Bluetooth, but none of the cm 10.1 M2, M3, or nightlies has had fully functional Bluetooth.

The version droid-man has working was from Feb 18 which was one of tdm's beta versions.

I can confirm this is true. Rebooting as we speak on latest CM10.1 417-NIGHTLY
But I can also say that it seems like bluetooth is getting better with each update

I'll go back and try the nightlies again when BT works consistently with that.

BTW, is GPS working on the 10.1 nightlies now? I had problems with that as well.

GPS has been working fine ever since we moved from quattrimus builds.

If I recall correctly... TDM hacked the 4.x gps blobs out and substituted in the GB blobs. There was no real benefit to the new ones, and it removed the issues.

Exactly. :)
