Bluetooth/Gingerbread

I recently upgraded to gingerbread and since doing so every time I get a text message on my phone it kicks me off my blue tooth. Has anyone else experienced this and if so anyone know of a fix?

Also, is there a blue tooth headset specifically to the incredible 2 or will any work well....I'm having a lot of volume issues with a few blue tooth's I've used.

I'm sorry for re-posting this, but I think I posted the previous one in the wrong section....again, I apologize.

My wife commented on this same thing to me last night.

Any Bluetooth headset should work with the Inc2.

I dont use a bluetooth headset, but I have a sony car deck that has bluetooth, during streaming or anything when connected to the deck, I have zero issues. This is the first I've heard of a bt issue...

After gingerbread!!
Someone has to help. I have Verizon Incredible. Anytime on a call with the bluetooth and a "text" comes in it boots you off bluetooth and back to phone.

Does anyone know a fix? I deleted all bluetooth devices and re-paired. (Didnt work)

Hmmm... so you're listening to tunes and a text message comes in. The DINC2 makes a sound (to notify you the message arrived), and the tunes die, right?

What app are you playing the tunes with? FWIW, I tried WinAmp for a while and had a number of problems with losing tunes. I moved to PlayerPro (pay to play, but worth it) and all of that stopped. However, if I change the state of my BT headset (power off and on, for example), PlayerPro goes back to pause (shows || instead of > ). Is your player doing this when a message comes in? What about a phone call? Or an e-mail arriving? Do they stop the tunes?

Its when im on a PHONE call. A text message comes in and you get booted off your bluetooth and it goes back to your phone. Everytime!

Help??

Sorry but I haven't seen this problem. Is it only texting the drops the calls or does incoming e-mail do it, too?

It only happens when I'm on the phone, but then again because of the poor sound quality, i dont use my dinc2 as an mp3 player.....I know its not going to work. And actually verizon has heard of this. The tech support dept with verizon told me they filed a trouble ticket with HTC regarding this issue. Probably going to have to wait for a software update, but in the meantime, verizon has offered to send me and my girlfriend who also uses the dinc2 a wired headset ($29.99) free of charge to avoid this from happening. I've got to have something....I drive a standard

It only kicks off bluetooth when a text comes in. Not an email.
I talked to verizon tech and they didnt know what to do so they passed me too a android expert and they tried everything including factory reset and that didnt work.
Im using motorola bluetooth.. whats everyone else using?

I also did a master reset, and it did not help with texts kicking me off my bluetooth. I'm using a motorola, but I also tried the command one, and jawbone same thing happened. The master reset did however fix my vanishing alarm clock.

Wish I had good news about the headset being kicked out by texting.

I have the problem too. Every time I get a text while I am using BT - whether on either car, my headset, etc., the bluetooth disconnects and the call goes back to the handset.

The icon shows that it is still connected to the BT, but if I select ADR6350 and then reselect the BT device, it goes back to BT.

Of course, if I am driving, or if I am half a room away from the phone using the headset, this is not very practical. To the point where I had to trade the phone in for one that has not gotten the GB update and now will defer the GB update until it is fixed.
