Help Bluetooth Headset & Screen not turning off

Hello,
I have a Motorola H375 bluetooth headset which works great with the phone however even if I leave the phone on the table while a call is active on the headset the screen will NOT turn off after 30 seconds like it does outside of a call. If I put the phone up to my ear when on the headset it will because of the proximity sensor but that defeats the purpose of the bluetooth headset. Any suggestions?

Flip the phone over on its face so that the proximity sensor is on the table maybe? I noticed if you cover it up on a call the screen goes black.

This is correct. If you are on a call the screen won't timeout. You have to cover the proximity sensor to sjut the screen off. Other wise it stays on in case you need to access the dial pad

Seems like they need to make it detect the bluetooth and turn off.
