Help Bluetooth headset volume low

srvn13

Lurker
Just switched from Eris to Dinc2. Long time fan of Android and HTC. Great phone except that the Bluetooth headset volume is very low. You can hardly hear the other person with full volume. My BT headset worked fine with all other phones. I travel a lot and BT headset is very important for me.

I am wondering if it is just my phone doing this or is a common issue with this model? Can anyone please confirm this? Hate to return this phone, can't seem to find a good alternative.

Thanks!

Depends on your definition of low. I'm using a Samsung WEP870 with mine, and while it doesn't get "blow the speakers out" loud, it does get loud enough that I can hear the alert that the phone is ringing with the windows down and going 75 mph. Barely that is, but I also have auditory processing issues, so I can't complain too much.

That said, when I answer, I do have to roll the windows up and all that jazz.

I am using Jawbone Icon. I am finding it hard to hear even with my windows up, in airports, in public places, etc with little ambient noise. It isn't the case with my Eris.

If you have access to one, I'd suggest perhaps trying a different headset. I've seen issues where some headsets don't play nice with some phones. Never figured out any rhyme nor reason either.

I am having a similar problem. I have Bluetooth in my car and the sound from the DINC2 is noticeably lower than my old dumb phone. When I turn up the volume on the BT unit to compensate, its voice prompts are too loud. was kind of hoping there would be a solution posted here instead of excuses.

I'm using a Jawbone and it works ok, not great...however my phone consistently starts up with the lowest volume setting for my bluetooth whenever I'm using the phone. Is there a way to set the default bluetooth volume on high? I can't seem to find it.

I'm seeing it too. I hadn't noticed it until I borrowed one of the company cars that has Bluetooth. I've seen this issue in previous Windows Mobile phones I've had, and if I'm not mistaken, they were HTC as well. The problem is, since these are Android, I don't know where to make what was a registry hack back with the WinMo phones.
