Bluetooth...media stream and Phone....

Something interesting i saw this morning...i have a 2008 focus that supports both the bluetooth audio streaming and phone use...which the Inspire is great at btw. But the part i thought was intetesting was that my car found the phone as a Desire HD.

Not that we didnt already kno that this was the same phone rebranded...but they didnt even bother to change the bluetooth ID...Lol.

I noticed this also. You can change the ID to anything you want in the settings.

My Aria came up as "HTC Liberty" in both Slacker and my Ford Sync.

I don't think there's a phone with that name (may of just been the Aria's first name?), so apparently name changes aren't high on HTC's list when it comes to consistency.

When I connected the Inspire to my Inifinti it came up as "Connected to Desire HD". If you look at the EXIF data on your photos it says Desire HD as the Camera Model, not sure if you could ever change that one.

When you hit the bluetooth button during a call, you can switch to Desire HD headset.

Um, that's because the Inspire IS a Desire HD. Menu->settings->about phone->phone ID

The "official" HTC Desire HD came out Sept. of last year in the UK. The Inspire is the US version.
