Help bluetooth not working

I have a HTC Desire, and the bluetooth, keeps dropping of when conected to the cars bluetooth system. "help"

Is there any more information you can give? Do you suffer BT dropouts with other devices, for example, or how quickly this happens?

Any detail might help someone identify the problem, so better too much information than too little.
