Bluetooth or USB Controllers

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I recently purchased the Samsung Droid Charge. I have apps for most video game consoles. However, it is very difficult to use the touchscreen as the D-Pad. After searching the forum, it appears to best route is to use the "Wiimote Controller" app as you can use your wii remote via bluetooth. However, the app is said not to work well with Samsung Droids and although the app recognizes my Wii remote, it says "No route to host" so I am guessing it is not compatible with my phone?

What are my other options? Are there any other bluetooth or usb controllers I can use to connect to my Droid?

Thanks!

Yep, the no route to host error means its not compatible.

Bluetooth options that are supported if the phone supports the bluetooth HID profile (I'm unfamiliar with the Droid Charge sorry, perhaps someone else can let you know if it has this profile) are: Phonejoy and iControlPad and Zeemote. For emulator gaming the Zeemote has too few buttons (I have one), the Phonejoy is great and cheap (I have one of these too) however its in short supply, and the iControlPad looks good, but hideously overpriced.

Thanks for the info. After comparing the 3 the Phonejoy looks to be the best option, especially since I use the PS1 emulator a lot. Also, there is an analog version that will be released soon.

For what it's worth, the iControlpad is on sale until Monday. Still $50, but it's a lot more reasonable than $75. I picked one up, and I'll report back once it's here.

Damn shipping makes it go to about 70 bucks again unless I am selecting the wrong method for USA.

Thanks, let me know what you think of the iControlpad. If I did go with the IControlpad I want to make sure it would fit with my Droid Charge.

icontrolpad looks awesome but I would hate to spend that much on one when I already have a wiimote. Why isn't the wiimote compatible with the charge, can this be fixed? What about a ps3 controller?

If Cyanogenmod ROM comes to the Charge then it will work, otherwise no fix in sight. No PS3 connectivity for Android yet either.

Wee heads up - the new dual stick Phonejoy is going to be made in higher numbers and should be much more available. The maker is sending me one to review for the Clove Blog, should be here in a few days (tracking says its just leaving Hong Kong in the last few hours). Obviously expect some youtube goodness to follow.
