On Mac OS X, I can't seem to keep a Bluetooth PAN connection going for more than a few minutes. After a few minutes, network traffic drops to 0KB/s and eventually the actual Bluetooth connection disconnects. At this stage, the Bluetooth tethering icon disappears on the phone, even though Settings shows that Bluetooth Tethering is still checked.
What is going on here? This problem is really irritating.
For reference, my Nexus is running 4.0.4 and my MacBook Air (2010) is running 10.7.4.
EDIT: I found that turning the screen on resumes the "paused" Internet connection. This problem appears to be from the phone dropping the data connection while the screen is off. Does anyone have a solution to this quite amateurish problem? Thanks.
