Root Bluetooth problems with Vanilla

Hello all, I am currently running Vanilla 2.0.4 on a Droid Eris. I am having trouble with getting my phone to sync up with the bluetooth in my car. It worked fine before the root and ROM install. Any ideas?
I am new to the root/ROM game. I will try my best to get you more info if you need it. Thanks

I have not used this ROM myself, but did you wipe both data/factor and dalvik (3 times) before flashing the ROM? Sometimes if things don't flash correctly there can be little bugs. I would try reflashing and follow the instructions here.

Like metlcat I'm not familiar with this ROM, so have no ROM specific advice to give, though I have a couple of suggestions.
1) same as metlcat, did you wipe data and dalvik before flashing the ROM?
2) try going into menu > applications > bluetooth and 'clear data', then try to connect to your car.

I do know that bluetooth works fine in the xtrROM, xtrSense, FroShedYo and Nonsensikal ROMs. I'm sure there are many others where it works, those are just the ones where I've had personal experience with it. In any case the fact the BT isn't working doesn't have anything to do with the fact that you've rooted your phone, so that's not a worry.

Thanks guys, I havent had a chance to get on here with the holidays and all. I did do the wipe x 3. Looks like I will be looking at a different ROM. What are some recommendations for the Eris.
Note: This is my wife's phone and she couldnt care less about all the goodies and stuff, she just wants her phone to work properly. I am the one who likes to geek with stuff, LOL.
I have my Droid running a new ROM every few days just to try them all.

Go with the ROM that Doogald suggested, xtrSense. That's the one I put on my wife's phone. It looks very much like the stock ROM, but works ever so much better.
