bluetooth quality

Is it just me or does bluetooth on the evo suck? It cuts out constantly and if I'm walking its un listenable. IT sounds like I'm trying to listen to a cd player on a trampoline.is there any fix for this?

It has been working great for me through my car stereo. It looks like the update even improved speed with external bluetooth controls. Check and see if it's what you're blutoothing with.

Mine works fine syncd with

  • Jawbone 2 headset
  • Plantronics Voyager Headset
  • Car speakerphone
  • Car stereo
  • Laptop
I'd check into your bluetooth device. If you have problems on multiple devices then you probably have a faulty bluetooth radio and need a new phone.

I posted a while back asking others about their Bluetooth quality. I have a Jabra Extreme which sounds good when paired with my Blackberry, but not at all when paired with the Evo.

I have a Motorola S305 stereo blue tooth i listen to music on, and an H17 for calls. Both work great for me on my EVO.

Hopefully Froyo will fix your problem.

I have a plantronics backbeat 903 headset, with 2.1 I could not use the controls for music but after the froyo update I can but the quality still sucks, if im walking or moving then its useless.

I don't think Bluetooth and quality should be used in the same sentence. If I am wrong please let me know but stereo over Bluetooth is always inferior as far as I have heard. Transfer speeds are also weak. Prone to interference. Just your body between your phone and Bluetooth stereo headset can block signal.

Im noticing the same thing.
I had my Bluant Q1 and it paired crystal clear on my Blackberry Tour, but on the Evo, its not anywhere near clear.
