Help Bluetooth reception

I seem to be having issues with Bluetooth reception on my eVo. I bought a refurbished Blueant z9i and reception was terrible. I just wrote it off as a bad headset. Most recently I bought a new Motorola s9hd and still its unusable. Unless the phone is literally inches away the reception cuts out. My phone is bone stock never rooted. Thanks in advance for any advice.

*edit* Additionally I tried the new headset on a friend's eVo as well as my trusty old Samsung Black Jack II and the s9hd works flawlessly. So outside of visiting the Sprint store are there any known fixes to this problem?

No luck on finding a fix. Took the handset to the Sprint store and they couldn't do it any good either. The card reader actually stopped working while they were troubleshooting so they ordered me a replacement. This will be my 5th eVo since March...not all that impressed with my first HTC experience however Sprint has been great and they just keep on replacing the bad units. A spank new one would be nice after all these shitty refurbs...
