Help Bluetooth Stereo problem-please help

I was trying to hook up my incredible to my bluetooth stereo,The phone will pair and connect but the next and previous track and pause buttons on the stereo wont do anything. before I had to hard reset the phone, it was not having problems ,I do realize that it could be the stereo itself.

Bluetooth in general can be flaky. Delete the bluetooth profiles from the car and phone and pair them again.

How do I delete the profiles

Every car model is different, but on your phone, just go to the bluetooth settings and click on the profile for your car.

I can't get to the profiles in the stereo and I have deleted the profiles on the phone several times

hmmm, might have to consult the car's manual on how to manage bluetooth profiles. It's possible you can't delete them on the car I guess, just know on gm and ford cars you can.

I have an after market Alpine stereo installed in my car and for me the bluettooth profiles are actually called "paired devices". For mine there is an option to delete the paired device in the units settings.
