Bluetooth tethering....iPad

Hey..

I was able to tether my iPad via Bluetooth with my Dx. It's not working with the rezound. I can get them to connect, but then it says device not supported. Anybody know a workaround?

What says it's not supported the iPad or the Rezound?
 
I don't think the Rezound comes with a PAN bluetooth profile built in. Try downloading PDAnet (google search) and try using that to connect. One note, the free PDAnet version doesn't allow you connectivity to secure sites. The pay version does. I looked at the profiles native to Android/GB and I didn't see one that offers PAN.

Oh and is your Dx rooted? That might be why. I can't wait for this phone to get permanent root.
 
I looked at the android bluetooth profiles. PAN is what the iPad uses and I didn't see that profile on the Rezound. You'll probably have to look in the Market for a bluetooth App that has the PAN profile. Once this thing gets rooted you'll have more options. As for right now Verizon's got this thing locked down.

I tried pairing it to my laptop with the Bluetooth function inside of PDAnet but the setup started getting a little too involved and I was already late for work. Have you attempted connecting with PDAnet? The good news is when I attempted on my laptop it asked me to configure the modem. I'm not sure if there's a Bluetooth (PAN) app in the market or if the Rezound has the required hardware. Once they root this phone then it'll be MUCH easier to just turn on Wifi and tether this sucker!
 
Any fix yet? The apps on the market don't work. :( I think I need Bluetooth with DUN to be able to tether my iPad 2
