Help Bluetooth Toggle Causes Need to Re-Connect

Okay, my fiance just confirmed this same problem with me, so it's not just me who's crazy.

We both put standard toggle buttons on our TB's to turn off BT, WiFi, GPS and adjust Brightness. However, when I use it to toggle back on my BT, it doesn't connect with my various BT accessories without going into settings and scanning for device. Once it 'sees' the accessory, it requires the passkey to connect again.

I've had this happen with my Sony HBH-800 IS headphones, my BlueAnt and my fiance had it happen with her Garmin.

Any ideas why this happens? I was liking the battery savings of turning it off when it's not in use...

I just have my TB paired with my Motorolla S305. The first time I used them I had to put in the passkey. Now all I have to do to connect is turn on blutooth on the phone then power on the headphones. After this it automatically connects within 5 seconds. Maybe the TB is incapable of being paired with more than one device?...
