Help Bluetooth Unreliable After Gingerbread Update

After the GB update, my Atrix is unable to sustain a reliable bluetooth connection.

I tried restarting the phone, resetting the phone, deleting all paired devices and adding them again. Each device (2 car systems and 3 BT headsets) pair without any problems. The problem is that during phone calls the connection becomes unstable and audio reverts back to the phone. Its happened as early as 10 seconds into the conversation, and as late as 5 minutes or so.

Thank you WolfmanRobby for guiding me to the proper place to post this.

I've not seen anyone with MULTIPLE devices having this behavior,

The 3 or 4 people I've worked with have had one device doing exactly as you describe.
A couple of them had a faulty BT headset. As in they bought a replacement headset and had no problems.
The other turned out to have a bad charger for his BT, so he thought it was charged, and would just randomly die because it was only partially charged.

Mind posting the Model numbers of the BT units so I can go out and see if there are any known compatibility issues with those devices and GingerBread?

The headsets are:

Plantronics Voyager Pro
Plantronics Discovery 975
and a cheap LG headset (sorry can't remember model#)

The car systems are:

2007 Acura TL Hands-Free Link
2010 Ford Focus

It doesn't always lose connection. I've had conversations for hours and the connection remains in tact. I would say it drops out about 50% of the time. Thanks for your help.

And it does it with ALL of the devices?

Go into Settings and look in Wireless & network settings \ Wi-Fi settings \ click the MENU button and then tap on ADVANCED. Check the Wi-Fi Sleep policy. I have mine set to Never when plugged in. You might want Never.

Yes, that's the "Wi-Fi" settings, but the Bluetooth is supposed to use those settings. (There is no such place to specify this under bluetooth.)

Yes same thing on all BT devices I listed.

Thanks! I'll make that change, test it out for a week and report back my findings. I have noticed some interference during calls when wifi has been on. But my last two phones (iphone and nokia e71) did that as well.

That seems to have done it - thank you! The bluetooth has only dropped out once since I made the change. That's infrequent enough to contribute to being a fluke in my book.

Unfortunately, I now have more problems which I will detail in another thread. UGH!

@1girliegrl You may want to post that in the in "Epic 4G" forum. This is for the "Motorola Atrix 4G."
You'll be more likely to get a response from someone that knows your device better.
