Pushing the .cab doesn't actually seem to effect data, at least it didn't for me last time I used it.Hello,
I unlocked my Spec, only to then realize that doing so borks the bluetooth. Is there anyway to get the old kernel back besides pushing the v7 .cab file? I don't mind losing the unlocked bootloader, I really don't want to reset all my data again!
Thanks in advance!
Not that I know of unfortunately. I think you have to use Nephs tool. That's good to know! Any way to do it through CWM? I'm at work now and cannot install the drivers to us the LG tool.
Just an FYI, I contacted Free Software Foundation, Inc in regards to LG's apparent disregard for the kernel source code which is licensed under the GNU GPLv2. I'm waiting on a response. Even if this doesn't get LG in trouble, the goal was to light that fire beneath their ass to get them going. Shouldn't be too long of a wait on a response from the Free Software Foundation. They tend to act fast on stuff like this. I'll post back once I get a response. When lg gets the kernel source posted, I'm hopeful that will let us fix Bluetooth. Right now they are too busy dancing gangnam style to be bothered with trivial things like licencing compliance.
I compared kernel sources from P930 Nitro and Spec(official 3.0.8), and found differences in sdio_dmux.c. That differences was remarked as:When lg gets the kernel source posted, I'm hopeful that will let us fix Bluetooth....
I have compared both kernels from LG, official 3.0.8.Interestingly, I just made a Bluetooth call from my nitro earlier this evening and the audio was busted. The kernel I'm using is from an official cm10 build. Hmmm...
