Bodyglove vs. otterbox vs. Seido innocase

Does anyone have any ideas? Trying to decide between these three...was thinking about going with the Body Glove because it is the cheapest...but I am not sure how much it would affect performace with the sides conflicting with the screen.
I currently have one of the cheap black hard rubber cases I got for like $7...just thinking I need a little more protection. Not interested in a screen protector, just a case. Had it 4 months and not a scratch on the screen.
Any help would be appreciated!!!
 
I have the seidio. It is very thin as advertised. The finish is a soft touch coating much like the Hero'S
I thought about the otterbox but didn't want the bulk.
 
my personal opinion would be the seidio. i had a body glove case on my lg voyager and i returned it after a week because it was scratching my phone. i dont know why or how, but it scratched the bezel around the phone. i wasnt the only person that happened to from what i read.

ive never used an otterbox case but some people swear by them. i had a seidio case on my blackberry curve and loved it. it was durable as hell. i dropped it a few times and it never broke.

i bought a cheap $7 case for my Hero but it hasnt come in yet. if i dont like it or feel like it doesnt protect enough, im going to order me a seidio one.

that is one thing that ive heard about the otterbox. they make the phone huge.

thats one of the problems with the cases in general. they just make the phone so big. thats why i like the seidio ones. theres not that much added bulk, but keeps the phone in good shape.
 
I went through 3 or 4 different type cases and have settled on the Otterbox. I don't feel that it added a lot of bulk at all. I carry the phone in my pocket too. I like the fact that is covers the USB and headphone jack too.
 
I have the Sedio and holster, but don't use em. I just keep it in my pocket.

Will probably craigs list em both for $35
 
I have the body glove and I love it. It is not too bulky. It is a hard case that feels soft. Sprint gave me 25% off so it was like $18. It has not scratched my screen and it does not interfere with typing. I would definitely recommend it.
 
I have the Innocase II and I love it. It keeps the phone from getting scratches on it and doesn't add much bulk. I'm not sure how well it works for drop, I tend to not drop my phone.
 
I've had all 3 and the Otterbox Commuter case wins by a landslide. Bodyglove is a bulky case that looks ******ed, the Seido case was ok, but you have to deal with openings for the volume rocker and usb port and the openings are pretty sharp and uncomfortable when holding the phone. The Otterbox case has the nice rubber covers for the volume rocker and usb port, so you get the best of both worlds because it also has a hard outershell. You simply can't go wrong with Otterbox.
 
Otterbox wins for me. I had the Seido case and droped my phone with it. The case actually broke in three pieces! Needless to say I returned it (only had it for a day) and got my money back and ordered the Otterbox. Definitely much better constructed and a big plus on the covers for the ports and volume rocker. :D
 
have the bodyglove and the otterbox... the bodyglove provided great protection and has a grippiness to it.. downside is that it is very bulky.

the otterbox (what I am using now) does not add much bulk at all, provides great protection (I have dropped it) and looks really good too. Downside is that the hard plastic part feels a bit slippery in the hand.

if I had to pick just one, I think I would go with the otterbox. its MUCH easier to swap batteries with that case (I have 5 lol) and that is the deal breaker for me... the bodyglove case was a little tough to get on and off but they can vary as to how hard they are to remove due to manufacturing.
 
There are in general 3 different Otterbox cases for phones.
The big,bulky model is not made for the Hero as of yet.

The two that are made are not the huge bulky Defender model people here seem determined to report as being huge.

The Otterbox for the Hero is more streamlined than the Defender and also has a mostly plastic exterior so it easily slips in and out of a pocket or holster.

Just wanted to clear this up so the Otterbox gets a fair look.

...and I want to make it clear all 3 cases are ugly, the Otterbox is just the better overall case.
 
So which Otterbox is everyone using? I've never used a case on a phone, but I love this one so much I couldn't stand to see it damaged. Plus this phone is so slim I could maybe see a little bulk as a good thing.
 
Otterbox, hands down. I had one on my Pearl, my Curve, and now the Hero. I wish they made the Defender series for the Hero. The thing I miss the most is the belt clip.
 
I bought the Otterbox for my wife's Hero and like it a lot. It's certainly more protective of the phone than the $7 eBay case. However, I keep using the $7 case because it has a belt clip. I don't want to stick anything more than a small wallet in my pocket much less a phone. Do any of the available cases have a belt clip other than the cheap ones???
 
I like the Seidio. It's expensive but feels good in my hand and I like the belt clip. Otterbox wasn't out when I bought the Seidio, but it looks quite good. I had to have a belt clip though, as I don't like carrying it in my pocket, and I don't see one for the Otterbox. It's a work phone for me, so I don't mind the geeky clip!
 
IMO the commuter adds the perfect amount of bulk cause the hero was slim in my hands to begin with so i love the very minimal bulk it adds makes it fit perfect in the hand
