Help Bookmarks Update Issue

When I add the bookmark widget to my home screen I only see the bookmarks that were already added. I cannot seem to figure out how to update the widget to show bookmarks I added myself. Does anybody know how to update the bookmark widget?

I would like to know if there is a way to get to my bookmarks faster than opening the browser, clicking yhe button at the top for the browser tabs, then clicking on bookmarks. Is there not a way to get yo mh bookmarks more directly?

There is a bookmark widget but like I said I don't know how to update it to show recently added bookmarks.

Is there a way to change the view of your bookmarks from thumbnails to a list? Can't find an option for that.

I wonder if there is a way to map a long press of the back arrow to go directly to the bookmarks and not the history screen. I realize it is just one more swipe, but I am oh, so lazy. :-P

You can resize the widget so it does not take up so much room. I also found out when you initially set up the widget you have to set it to your gmail instead of the default settings. That way you will see the bookmarks you created.

Thanks but I was wondering about viewing bookmarks from within the browser. I can only see thumbnails but sometimes it's hard to tell which one is which because not very much text is displayed underneath. I guess I could edit the bookmark name in Chrome to make the 6 or 8 characters initially displayed more descriptive but I'd prefer to just have a list. There was an option on my Thunderbolt to change between thumbnails and a list but I can't find it on my Nexus.

It'd be nice to view bookmarks in a list like the HTC Sense widget allows. Also, there's no way to change the order (say A-Z) unless you use a third-party bookmark/sorter app. As thegadgetguroo mentioned, your newly added bookmarks don't show up in real time unless you re-add the widget, and even taking two clicks to reach your bookmarks from the browser is a little clunky.

I wish they'd have offered a bit more flexibility with the browser and options, but I'm guessing there'll be good third party solutions soon enough.

I personally don't mind using the widget since it is similar to what I had on my Bionic. Plus either google or a third party will be releasing an app for your particular issue. Still I'm loving my Nexus.

Yep, you're right -- also, I'm discovering so many little handy shortcuts in ICS thanks to another thread here that it's making life easier. Always have to remember we're early adopters (or, in my case, I get the phone for just a few days before it goes back)!
