Help Books - 30% Battery Usage???

Okay so started using the Google Books app the other day and set it to sync automatically.

Now the damn thing is almost constantly running.

I only downloaded a couple books so there's no way it should take 2 days to sync.

I checked battery usage and Books was on TOP!!! WITH 30% usage!!

WTF?

Okay so I returned the phone, got a new one and solved two problems: battery discharge issues are apparently a known issue caused by a defective radio.

I now have no discharge issues AND I hit 2.35Mbs on 3G, which is about twice what i was getting on the other NS4G and have at least 3 bars or more most of the time.

Only now something is weird: the YouTube app is missing. Under Market and Applications they both say its installed.

Download ES File Explorer from the market. Locate the Youtube apk, click on it, reinstall Youtube. Done.

Factory reset worked for me as well.

Actually it looks like clearing the cache and force stopping Market and Market Downloader does the trick.

What happened (apparently) is when I first logged into the Market on my new phone, the sheer number of queued downloads "clogged the pipe" and YouTube never finished updating.

After clearing the cache, uninstalling Market updates (from Manage Apps) restarting and then starting Market again, all is good.

Now I just have to patiently wait for the Market to decide to update itself again.
