Root (Boost) 2.3.6 Update w/Bobzhome Kernel

I just installed this after having multiple problems with other roms, so far I like this. Simple and it works! Only been on my phone for like 30 minutes, but no problems yet. I don't know how the order has to work but I was running stock with CWM (backup from star-scrom, also was using Shevron before that) then I installed Bobzhome's kernal and finally this with no Dalvik wipe etc. It just works! Thanks!!!:D

Can u make a rom with the new xperia launcher because the new one wont stay as the launcher, only for a few days then it force close so can u put the new launcher with the icon pack in ur new update....

all you do is use esfile and go to system/app and delete home.apk then go and find Home_MultiResolution.apk in your sd and install it. it that simple. i figure this out by myself. you just gotta play with the phone.

If you do have an updated version does it still have the 2.3.6 update? I didn't have any problems for a few days then the no wifi bug got me. I've rolled back to stock with CWM and the Xperia launcher for now. Thanks for the hard work and waiting to see what ya have in store for us.

But im assuming this was all done thru CWM recovery...if so..then it says i need to switch to edify scripting, tried to but it wasnt available for transform? (can someone verify that) Or was it flashed thru Odin...if so...can i used my previous OPS (stock transform ultra) with this new kernel? or is there a seperate OPS for this kernel?

Not totally sure what you're asking, but I think you're asking if you flash this with CWM? If that was the question, the answer is yes.

He seems to be having problems using CWM and wants to know if he can flash via Odin with stock ops file? I would try backing up all apps and data with Titanium backup then flash to stock with Odin, install CWM again then see if it let's you install via CWM. This should be put in your SDcard under clockworkmod/backups and done as a recovery I think, anyone care to second that? Not sure how he tried it, assuming he knows what he is doing. It never asked me anything about switching to edify scripting when I installed it.

I have the bobzhome kernel...i tried the download link, extracted it to clockwordmob/backup tried to do a restore, and got a MD5 Mismatch? What did i do wrong, is this the most updated link?

That is the most updated link. The MD5 mismatch is usually due to a bad download. Try redownloading it.

That Worked thank you! Been following you guys forever, finally decided to become a part of the forum, appreciate your great work! Still have the EG29 baseband, but at this point Im not sure if I care! After succesfully updating to 2.3.6 I havent noticed.a difference, and the games still suck!

Finally rooted my phone. Was tired of waiting for the touch screen fix. Phone is much faster. Thanks for your hard work!

The only thing I add was ADW Launcher with ICS theme and Swype beta. Loving it!

Use a file explorer like ES file explorer or Atlas download from play store free
Open it and you will find it in the files in your sdcard
