Boost Mobile 4.4.3

Does any one have the slightest clue on when Boost Mobile CDMA XT1031 varrient will recieve 4.4.3 or are we just left in the dust :(

Not sure.. I think the only MOTO G phones that have received the update are the Gsm unlocked ones bought online. To my knowledge none that were bought from any carrier have been updated yet.. You could call boost & see what arep says then report back?

I assume it was a typo .. But boostmobile is generally slow with all updates but i don't think its just boost Mobile all cdma networks are taking thier sweet time updating thier Moto G's via that link above on Motorola's website so i actually think its each individual Carrier issue but according to them its "Coming Soon" i would imagine it shold come before the month is out hopefully

And to be honest, I am not sure if Boost even will update to the latest, as this an incremental update. Why would they?

I have been following the threads here and on other forums, just like everybody else, and I have come to realize that android fans are like rabid dogs when it comes to updates. Want it. Want it. Want it. Even if it doesn't bring all that much new. Folks, it is after all just a smartphone.

Do not get me wrong, I appreciate new features and functionality, but when it comes right down to it, is this update revolutionary? Will it change your life?

I drive a 79' Ford pickup truck (like new condition, by the way) that get's me from point A to B. It get's about the same gas mileage and can do the same things as the newer ones, sometimes better, but it doesn't have all the bells and whistles. But it serves it's purpose. And it is rock solid.

This is a good phone. It does what it does really well at this price point compared to others. That's why I bought it.

Edit: I just thought I would amend my post to say I am not trying to trash any one. If you are having issues, I know an update would be welcome. I was just trying to put things in perspective. Probably more for myself than anyone else.

From what I've been reading on all kinds of did threads that the new update brings more bus than fixes... Even nexus users are experiencing issues with 4.4.3...

U made me feel like an update whore :(.. Lol jk but yea u got a point i have heard about the bugs in 4.4.3 like wifi bugs and connection issues but i have an unlocked bootloader so it isn't a problem for me id just go back to stock using adb and mfastboot if any problems come to play , however the new updated dialer and phone app , moto aleart, updated camera has me a little jealous of the XT1032 users, and for some reason my moto g won't boot roms and yes ik how to flash a rom ( I had CWM recovery 6.0.46 installed and rooted however everytime i tried to flash a rom it would stay on bootscreen forever -_-) so i returned to stock recovery and stock rom and now im just playing the wait game

Right. I won't be surprised if Boost never upgrades the Moto G. I specifically bought this phone for two reasons: it's a Motorola, and it's (supposed to be) 4G.

The salesperson failed to mention the Boost Mobile version is 3G only, and Boost Mobile is not interested in working with me to get a 4G phone. So, with this kind of "customer service," why should I expect an update in the OS?

Very disappointing to say the least.

Thank you for you Naval service. I'm a Navy veteran myself.

Now, about the Moto G and 3G vs 4G. The original version, of which the Boost Mobile version is one of those, was never touted as being a 4G phone. It was always said to be a 3G phone, especially on the CDMA versions. Now, the GSM versions do get HSPA+ so the speeds are typically better than the CDMA speeds, but it was never said to be a 4G phone. The new one is 4G LTE, but only the GSM version. Moto didn't put out a CDMA LTE version. At least to my knowledge they didn't.

when did we get a 4.2.2 update? I got a 4.4.2 update....
That's why I meant. Lol

Turns out that it's taking a while for us to get this update. Motorola promised that we would get the latest updates. Let's hope that they keep the word. Maybe they are waiting for Android L.

I believe they started over when 4.4.4 came out. I saw online that the moto g in India are starting to get 4.4.4 but I couldn't confirm the article

Maybe they're doing the same thing Motorola/Verizon did with the DROID 2. Instead of upgrading, they required you to buy the 3 (D2 was a MUCH better phone) so you'd have to buy yet another phone to upgrade that one. And so it goes...

It might take a while longer before Verizon customers get the update since 4.4.4 started rolling out only a few weeks ago.
