I just spoke with our dear friend StarScream2109 on the phone and in all honesty it broke my heart to hear how things are going for him when I asked him. I know that this forum is specifically for Warp-All Things Root but I feel that this is very prudent to the essence of the forum because Apollostar has done so much for this community and for the Warp development. I call our forum a community because that's what it's become for many of us that have been here for as long as we have. I feel that out of everybody in this community, Apollo has been there for every one of us at one time or another and for many of us more times than we can count, myself included. The guy has done so much in not only developing his own ROM(s) for all of us but also in helping other fellow Warpers develop their respective ROM's, tweaks, and help with their problems. Every time I turn around he is in a thread helping a noob when nobody else wanted to. I can usually look at the thread without even opening it and when there's only 5 messages I can bet on the fact that he has the majority of them because he loves to help and has spent COUNTLESS hours doing so without ever directly asking for anything monetarily.
Well, in addition to this thread thanking my personal good friend for his work I'm also asking our forum, our community, to help the guy out if you can or would like to. We are all feeling the pain of this economy but I assure you, nobody is feeling it more than him. I wish to respect his privacy in why I'm asking for donations for him but I'm sure if you have ever spoken with him you already know his living situation and if you directly ask him he would honestly tell you because that's just who he is. All that I will say is that winter is just around the corner and he's preparing for it and trying to move. I hate to have to ask for help for him but don't have it all on my own and don't know anybody else to ask besides those that have been helped by him. I'm not directly soliciting for him but if you feel that you can spare a dollar or two to help him out this one time I've included a direct link to his PayPal. If you don't have it feel free to use this thread to personally thank him without any pressure to donate. This community is great for one thing in my opinion and that it's very good about not being judgmental.
