Root [Boost Mobile] after rooting

my phone would go straight to askig me if i wanted to usb storage after rooting it no longers ask so if this is suppose to be like this then how do i put a custom rom if not how do i fix it thanks

Use your notificatiin drop down and click the usb icon and it should turn on if not download aand flash a stock kernal and see if it helpz. Reboot into recovery by turnin the phone off and then hold volume up and power you can install from sd card there
 
when i plug my phone into the computer all it does is charge it wont even give me the option for usb mass storage mode and it want let me when i hold the val up botton and power at the same time it just cuts back on;(
 
I tried report but it want do any thing i don't know maybe i can erase all back to factory settings as if i didn't root it and retry but will the phone go back to factory settings from the privacy section in the phone?
 
Ok so i set my phone back to factory settings and in still rooted but it fixed my problem so far i updated superuser which after reset i didn't and now it works so the update for superuser most have been the problem
 
Ya i could never update it till recently so i think you need a rom on first i recomend unitology its smooth small and well themed
