Root [Boost Mobile] Android n00b questions..

Yes there are probably numerous threads that would help me obtain information to these questions I have, but they are all different in responses, and i'd like to just start a thread asking my own questions, bash me for not searching threads if you'd like to be inappropriate , wont bother me a bit. So here i go:
1- Now that i'm "rooted", are there any safe recommended download sites/markets that anyone knows of? ( private message or email if feel necessary) I'm not comfortable w. this whole 4shared file sharing stuff.
2- Do I really need some kind of security app/protection/anti malware/keyloggers? If so, what recommendations ?
3- Hypothetical question which im sure is in other threads but again, I'm asking myself- If one needed to mail back they're phone to ZTE for a replacement, Would a standard factory reset remove all traces of a phone being previously reooted, or are there more steps involved?
4- Very debated topic but, task managers/startup apps/cache cleaners/ What is not recommended and what is not recommended? I find that too many unnecessary programs keep autostarting even after i close them, and available ram is somewhat low.
5- FINAL QUESTION THAT I DONT believe has been on another thread...When i plug in a headset to my phone, regardless if its my expensive sony earbuds, or a cheap stereo headset, the quality is absolutely TERRIBLE, is this normal? or should i contact zte/authorized boost dealer about possibly having a defective device.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read/respond, feel free to shoot email @ n0ve@aol.com

1. Not sure what you are asking in question 1, what are you wanting to download? I am assuming you are aware of the android market for apps, that's been reliable for me, as well as the amazon app market.
2. Security wise I haven't ever had an app find any virus or malware and don't currently use one on my phone, for security I did set up the 2-step authentication in google in case my phone ever gets stolen or my account hacked, but beyond that I can't see a benefit at this point since there doesn't seem to be much activity virus-wise
3. Factory reset will not unroot your phone, I would recommend running the ZTE Update tool to go back to stock, you download it and run it from a computer, that would take you to stock and clear your data
4. I find no benefit to using task killers on the warp, but when I had my last phone I liked the free advanced task killer
5. Is it all sound that is bad, what is terrible about it? Volume is known to be lower than normal on the zte... there are a couple free equalizers on the market that help. I do hear popping sometimes on Pandora, not sure where that comes from but I suspect it's the app, normally it sounds fine though

Hope these comments help, nothing amazing I know, but just my perspective after playing around quite a bit.

I am rooted, have the b08 update, cwm and chevron theme... it's not too useful yet but I would recommend putting cwm on your phone so as roms/themes come out you can easily install them... there is really only one theme on the forum so far so it's limited what you can do yet but I suspect there are a bunch more coming as well as Roms in the near future.

1. Getjar.com they have what's called gold apps, which are paid apps, that the developer has released for free to them, like tapatalk :). and its legal

All I can add is another choice for safe legal downloads - GetJar.

Go to mDOTgetjarDOTcom, and download their app for easy access.

They even have some apps for free that are not free elsewhere. For example I'm using Tapatalk that I got for free from GetJar. It's $2.99 elsewhere.

1. If You mean "free" apps I use app|anet but if you want free apps android market recommended

2. If you download paid apps for free sure you'll need one ...ill recommend avast

3. X

4. All are pretty uselesss because the app will go back in less than 30 secs
I use gemini disable apps autorun but some apps will still run unless you choose to block them but the app will not run at all...unless you unblock them

Also the go launcher ex pro has its own app killer +themes...

5. Zte warp sound quality is not thebest but is not bad too

I use the Sony MDR-EX38IP and the earbuds&mic sound really good with any device even with the iPhone

thx guys def answered my questions, as far as the sound thing i gotta call boost b/c its absolutely terrible sound when u plug in the top 8mm jack, It's gotta be some kind of defect...therefore from what i read, I guess..try to run the update to unroot? or just follow instructions elsewhere on this site for unrooting..i mean even if i use my studio quality sony stereo earbuds w.out mic, it just sounds horrible..

Turns out it was an issue with the 8mm headphone Jack, So hard to find a replacement everywhere around me is out of stuck due to ZTE changing companies they use to make the screen. I'm gonna have to wait about two weeks for a replacement but that's fine with me as long as i can listen to music without the sound of screaming through a microphone underwater and farting simultaneously.
