Root [Boost Mobile] Boot splash screen

xgeek

Newbie
at some point I installed a rom that put a skull and crossbones as the first splash screen when powering on. No roms installed after this removed this screen, so I now always have the skull and crossbones. Can anyone tell me how to remove this and change it to default?? Any help is appreciated.

Well, it's not the factory default image, but in my opinion it should have been :)

This flashes the Qualcomm Snapdragon (the Warp's CPU) logo for your initial boot image. If you like it, give Shinru2004 a thank you too for creating it :)

Edit: ninja'd lol

Always loved seeing that when I turned on my Warp :) especially when I let my girlfriend borrow it, she wound up getting scared a few times when I had Shin's rom :D thanks merc! :D

How do i install this? i kw its a stupid question but i'm a noobie and i rooted my phone with CWM, i have no knowledge of this stuff, thanks for your help

Thank you for your reply, i will do this when i get home, thanx for your help, i downloaded the file on my phone just now, for some reason root explorer wanted to open it lol

I don't understand- isn't the image in the ramdisk? Wouldn't that have to be decompiled? And if that ism't the case and this is able to happen with a flash without having to replace the whole boot img, couldn't you just flash shit like init.d support? Or does it just "overlay" the image? Please help me to understand this. I have been reading up on this as I want to do my own ramdisk mods for my rom (which is soooo close to being done), I just haven;t had free time to go in too deep to accomplish this (busy).

Any relevant links would help.

On the Warp, there are two boot images, one in a hidden partition and one in the ramdisk. A ROM or kernel usually flashes the second one, and the first one is usually left intact to show whatever the manufacturer sets, unless it is replaced by a flashable like the one posted above.

Hope this helps!
