Newbie
hey i have a common problem but idk how to fix it i keep my phone updated to the google and everytime i reflash my phone i loose a couple contacts but keep a majority of them is there a way i can make it restore ALL of my contacts instead of only 90% of them? any help is appreciated thanks.

Make sure when you add them you add them to your google account. If you want a rom that wont delete them every update unitology is a great one with no data wipes on your apps so after you put them back the first time you dont have to worry

Thdres a setting somewhere im not sure. Whenever i go to add contact it asks me where id like to save them but maybe thats built into my rom :)

Ok this is easy on your phone go to contacts open it up then hit the button next your home button go to more and it will say import/export just export to sd or save to pc and that should fix it. Anything on sd card should remain there when you flash a new Rom. Hope this helps :-)

I've done that before and ended up with a ton of double contacts. Would work great if I knew how to stop the contacts sync from google.

I think this worked for me before....

Export to SD as above (it'll backup your phone &Gmail contacts) , load new rom & sign in to Google account (it'll upload your Gmail contacts automatically) then delete all contacts then go to settings accounts and sync and make sure your Gmail isn't selected, then go back to contacts and import from sd (when it asks tell it phone only)

Alternatively tell it to add contacts to Gmail then every time you load a new rom and sign in to Google account all your contacts will be there

the other way to get the new contacts to gmail is go into accounts and sync. turn it off wait a few sec and then turn it back on. It worked for me. but also keep them backed up to sd card and comp. (always a good idea)

Just cleared mine out the other day, basically got them how i wanted on the phone itself, then logged into google+, went to contacts, cleared them all, then imported the .csv file i Exported from the phone itself...also, keep in mind whatever facebook contacts you have, wont be imported correctly regardless...I wish there was some sort of implementation like HTC phones have, that link facebook contacts w/ phone numbers...I hate how we can't edit fb synced contacts...
