Root [Boost Mobile] [DEV] Official Developer Tools Thread

mercury0x000d

The ultra-modern operator
With as much development as we all do for our beloved Warp, I figured it'd be helpful to have all the common tools we all use in one place. This will not only help out the newcomers, but help us as well when we find ourselves asking, "Hey, where did I see that fix/tweak/tool/whatever again?" :D

I'll be PMing several of our devs to get permission to post their works here for easy access. As I get permission, the items in the list below will become links. If you have any suggestions for this OP, post them and I will add.

Compiling/Decompiling and ROM software modding:
dsixda's Android Kitchen (Linux script) - dsixda
This gem was made by a dev over at XDA. It allows you to do just about anything you'd like with your ROM, from zipaligning and deodexing to swapping out system files and apps for different ones. This is a must have. This is the most recent (and final) version.

dsixda's Android Kitchen (Windows Cygwin package) - mercury0x000d
This is the same as above, but already merged into the Cygwin environment for Windows users. Note you no longer need to extract Cygwin and the kitchen manually then install one into the other, just unzip, and you're ready to go.

Smali tools
This .zip is a collection of tools including Smali and Baksmali to edit and mod apps. Found on XDA. As soon as remember exactly where I found it on XDA, I'll update this :)

Kernels:
Hroark Kernel - hroark13
I'm not sure how to contact hroark13, since I guess he no longer frequents this forum. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to PM me.

Shinru Kernel 1.6GHz - Shinru2004
In my opinion, the most stable version of Shin's OC kernel. Offers 122MHz - 1.6 GHz.

Shinru Kernel 1.7GHz - Shinru2004
The current version of Shin's OC kernel. Offers 122 MHz - 1.7 GHz.

Team Glitch Kernel - downthemachine
A swapfile-enabled kernel to free up more system RAM.

Theming and UI:
Android Boot Screen Maker (ABSM) - mercury0x000d
A tool to convert .bmp images into a format which can be loaded into boot.img to show during startup to replace our generic green Android logo.

Tutorials:
.jar decompiling video and .jar compiling video
Shows how to decompile and compile using Smali tools, posted above.
