Root [Boost Mobile] [DEV] WVGA video camera support

Thanks, it worked! It better in widescreen format. Is there any way to up the quality of video because it has a 5MP camera since the Triumph has a 5MP with 720p recording.

I'm working on it. I know how it's normally done but ZTE's software is um... "special". lol

Don't expect 720p though, I tried and it didn't work.

It's stock, so for the time being make sure you have email.apk also installed or it will force close.

I was just about to post that it was force closing on me lol. Do you happen to have a link to the stock email.apk? I'm on n00bV.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks man. I cleaned up the code a bit and uploaded a newer version. Nothing added, just cleaner code. The link is the same.

The sound quality and a bit of a picture quality are quite a bit improved I hope to see them more improved but for now the tweaked one still looks great.

Thanks for that. The audio is a lot better. The video is okay but the bitrate could be higher, it's still a bit muddy. I'm trying to push it. It's hit and miss(mostly miss lol) right now but I'm working on it. Hopefully I'll have something out some time this week.

Still, we're already over dvd resolution now. :D

If you want insane quality right now get lgcamera from the store. That's what I'm using to test the max settings to implement into stock. It let's you try anything, if it isn't supported it will just give you an error. As soon as I can figure out where in the hell the values are stored I'll be good. It's not in any of the normal places and our camera.apk(like everything else from zte) is not normal.

I tried some other resolutions beyond 480p, it wouldn't work anymore, but I noticed that the lgcameras 480p looks pixelated but your 480p isn't pixelated.

I'd check your settings. I can do 800x480, 12Mbps, h.264, mpeg4(file format) with the audio in AAC and everything at max. It looks a lot better for me, the app crashes sometimes when messing with settings though. This is the profile I'm trying to add to the stock camera.

A quick thought, maybe it's the auto ISO bumping it up too high. Try to manually set it as low as you can and toggle between the camcorder and camera to activate it.
