when i go to setting/location and security/install from sd card, it says install encrypted certificates from sd card. what is that for/ what does it do??

This feature exists to install certificates required for accessing certain servers and files. Example: Imagine an employee of a company has a company email ID. This email is sometimes encrypted, needing a certificate that only the employees get in order to fend off non-essential people trying to access mail. So the employee must install a certificate in order to access this 'exchange' mail from his android phone. The certificates are usually .cer and are provided by the necessary service/company.
