Root [Boost Mobile] Help changing a framework image

i2f

Android Enthusiast
I'm having trouble changing the expander_ic_maximized.9.png and the expander_ic_minimized.9.png in the framework-res.apk. I replaced the files using other .9 images but whenever I reboot my phone after using Ninjamorph, the old images persist (no changes took place, even though I replaced both files - which you can see if you extract the framework-res.apk file). Any idea what's happening?

This could be way off but double check that these same image files don't exist in the system UI apk...

Get winrar, on your PC locate the .apk your Modding. Winrar can natively open .apk without even extracting or decompiling them. So open the framworkres.apk in winrar and drag and drop your changes put the framework on your SD card. Get root explorer and copy it to system/framework overwrite it. Now dont wait for the hot reboot go into recovery and wipe cache, dalvik cache, and fix permissions

I just tried that, but the icons are still there :\

you have a copy of the images you want replaced and the framework-res.apk you are modding?

Yep. I put all of the files in this zip file. I'm actually trying to edit the same thing in two frameworks, which have different window animations.

Thank you soo much for helping me with it!! I really really appreciate it :)

I have worked 13 hour shifts for the past week man I have been busy.

Oh, I don't mean to sound like I'm rushing you or anything. I'm really grateful that you offered to take a look at it. Just work on it whenever you have time :)

Thanks again!
