I have this contacts apk I've been trying to theme but nothing ever sticks. Its so frustrating! The app will flash/install and work perfectly but when you try to make any changes to it, poof its gone..lol. this apk was ported from a cm7 rom on an android 2.3.5 device. I am attaching the matching phone apk which has no problems at all.

Wait, so you got CM7 phone/contacts to work without the signal dropping?!

I forgot to mention.... the contacts.apk seems to have a dependency on the cm7 settings.apk. when the settings.apk is installed; the contacts doesn't have any problem with any of the edits sticking. And the cm7 settings.apk seems to work fine EXCEPT when trying to access the cyanogen mod settings

If anyone wants the settings.apk to play around with ; just lemme know

Can we just get a link to the rom you're using? This phone is the first I've found to work and I wanna know what else does. Also, I'm working on this with you. I'll be home shortly(just got off at 7) then I'll tackle it manually with apktool, energy drinks, and most likely a few choice swear words..

No prob.. I'll have to search xda, its been awhile.. standby

Oddly I can't get the files from the ROM to work without constant force closes but the ones you posted do. This is real weird. I'm going to re-download.

If you would, I'm getting nowhere. I tried that ROM and the build of CM7 it's based on, no dice with either.

None, it's doing the same thing to me(not showing up after edit) no matter what I try. I'm stumped.
