Hey long time everybody...
Been busy with life (if you can call it that); but woke up yesterday to go to work and found my S2 powered off... if you try to turn it on it shows splash for a split second and its back off (cant get bootloader or recovery so its fully dead)

Anyway im back on my warp untill i get paid and can get another phone.
Dont get me wrong the og warp has a lot going for it but mine almost has no life in it as far as calls go its trash (gets maybe 50% of calls and then half of them i can hardly understand)

Im looking to pick up something that has 4g lte this time as my area is now somewhat covered; BUT i probably cant swing more than $200 for a phone so im looking at the LG Volt as its close in specs to the S3 and bestbuy has them for $150 but not seeing much for reviews yet.

Nope. But, you can get a pretty good discount on the S3... I got mine for $280, after tax and overnight shipping; before that I got discounts up to $240. It's well worth the extra bit of cash, especially with everything available for the phone. If I were you, I'd just stick it out a while longer and save up for the S3 since it'd make a much better long term investment, and knowing LG, the Volt will probably come with a locked bootloader or similar making custom roms on that phone/device impossible to make, or at least very incredibly difficult.
 
I'd rather have the s3 (or s5) but I need a phone that works; my boss called 3 times this morning and only got one call on my end then couldn't understand him so had to go use a pay phone to call him back.

I thought my s2 would last forever but only 6 months ; I'm still in shock.
I'd like to be able to customize my phone but as time goes I do less and less of it. Only used 2 roms on my S2 and one was a step in installing the rom I was on for 5 months. (I might be getting old; at least it feels that way) I find I'm happy with only root now for the most part.
 
Just picked up the Volt a bit ago and so far im happy. Its fast and has 4g lte with the new spark; ive already experienced the speed difference between with and without spark and its crazy good. ( Sprint Spark is a super-high-speed capability offering 50-60 Megabits per second (Mbps) peak speeds today with increasing speed potential over time.)
It also has built in tv remote (already using it)
Havnt checked out tethering yet (think supposed to pay $10 to use) but it has wifi and blu tooth tether options.
 
Crap chimed in to late. Wanted to try to drag you over to the warp 4g. We have an OC kernel and a few roms now. Could have used you over there, but I'm glad to hear your happy with your volt.
 
Lol the warp 4g is more expensive than the volt with lesser specs; was looking at it before i found the volt.
 
Well i tried a few things when turning the phone on and both volume- /power & volume +/home/power gave me this nifty screen

Even though coverage map seems to say I should have 4g and Im showing 3g almost all the time. did get the spinning 4lte when I turned on airplane mode then turned it off as mentioned in previous posts
