Root [Boost Mobile] Incall volume boost?

Anyone know how to boost the incall/ speakerphone volume? I have the newest "volume+ " installed but can't figure out how to do it. I am rooted, and "ro.config.vc_call_vol_steps=100 " is already in my build.prop

Thanx in advance :)

You select In Call from the menu, it will pop up and let you know you must have root for it to work, click I Have Root, it will request permission from SU, grant permission, BACK UP YOUR BUILD.PROP first, then you can enter a number between 1 and 100 in the text field that increases the volume. From there you can test different steps of increase and apply the backup of your build.prop to go back to default.

Sorry to dig up this thread again, but this didn't help me either. I've tried this in call steps option on volume+ and it did zilch. Anyone else have any other ideas? I work with large machines and could do with a boost to my in call volume.

Well the steps should be 100 then just go in call and.increase volume it should work dont understand why it wouldn't

It kinda makes me laugh that Volume+ leaves the line in the build.prop when you uninstall the app so you actually keep the last increment you put in, thus actually keeping volume+ in a weird way. It's a good way for people to edit the line though since they don't actually have to go into the build.prop manually. I think it's why he quit charging for the app because his conscience took hold of him, which doesn't make me laugh and actually makes me proud of him.

Hey smoothkaos go on zello got a fix for you as for unitology i made that line native :) no need at all for volume+

Actually current Volume+ versions are not supposed to boost the in-call volume, you can add more steps, but it won't change the max volume, just smooth steps (a useless feature, imho). You can read it in short description of a feature, which is located in a volume+ kernel tweak menu. The only known ways to increase in-call volume - either using a custom kernel with modded audio drivers, or increase the max volume in a "Service Menu" (dial *#*#197328640#*#*), (IT IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR SAMSUNG ANDROID DEVICES), which has a blocked sound menu in it. You get through that block by entering "5" in "Key input" option and then menu will appear, you have to click (touch the screen):

1. For in-call Ear mode volume:
1 HANDSET - Pay attention
2 RX value
1 Rx Codec/Volume
1 Rx Codec Gain
when "Input value" field appears, press left mechanical key (options key), choose "Key Input" - in a pop-up field enter: ffff and then press OK.

2. For in-call Loudspeaker mode volume:
3 SPEAKER - Pay attention
2 RX value
1 Rx Codec/Volume
1 Rx Codec Gain
when "Input value" field appears, press left mechanical key (options key), choose "Key Input" - in a pop-up field enter: ffff and then press OK.

3. For Call and SMS sound volume:
3 SPEAKER - Pay attention
7 MP3/Not Mp3 Mod - Pay attention
2 RX value
1 Rx Codec/Volume
1 Rx Codec Gain
when "Input value" field appears, press left mechanical key (options key), choose "Key Input" - in a pop-up field enter: ffff and then press OK.

Changes persist through Power off and restarts.
Changes are more, than enough noticeable (you will no longer need to max volume setting, it will be a lot louder).
Tested on some non-Cyanogen Gingerbread ROMS, menu doesn't exist on Cyanogen ROMS.

I have not tried to cancel changes, because i like it, but, i think, Flashing new Kernel should do it.
OR
entering default values (they are Hexadecimal, i believe)
OR
(a quote from internets)
in the Service menu > Audio

I've done it at the kernel level, but there is a max, well before distortion.
