Root [Boost Mobile] Is TV-OUT possible?

Hi Guys. Rook Noobington here...
Emulators work great on the warp along with wiimote and it would be sweet if I could get them on a tv. I've googled a bunch of usb adapters and found one, out of stock yes, but compatible with some zte c79 prepaid flip phone that I couldn't imagine originally supporting tv out. Cab't post link because of noob status. I'm not the most tech savy (hence the username) so I don't really know if that means anything. Any apps or specific cables that I should be looking for? Lots of genius in this forum and I could use the help.

But where would the feed come from? The warp doesn't have a mini/micro hdmi output. Or anything resembling it...

long shot, but if anyone in this forums has an adapter like the one in the link i posted above, and has a root text editor, delete the "#" sign off "#ro.hdmi.enable=true" in the build.prop and save it and see what happends

O________O $22?! If it was $3 or under then i'd buy it but $20?! No way lol

If i recall correctly, the term for such a usb port is mhl usb port. I don't know if it can be enabled via build.prop or not and im not sure of a general thread that I can post in to ask about this type of thing so people who know about it can reply to. It would be a quite unusual question to say the least (not that its bad or anything of course)

lol >.> i know that's y i said long shot, i've found one for 9 dollars on ebay but if i cant get it working i don't want to be stuck with it :/ if its blocked in the build prop maybe they were planning on releasing it with that feature, but scraped it due to the lack of the market for it, i haven't seen any other phones that offer that feature, but i know some that are capable, i'm trying to explore my phone best i can with root explorer she if maybe there's any hints to this

If you can find another thread to post in that's more generic and can get more attention then you can get a better reply than what you would find in here.

i found something interesting, i was searching two things through root explorer on my phone, one was was mhl, found nothing, the next was hdmi and i found /system/bin/hdmid

now im trying to open it up, dont know how to go about to see the code it stores

as far as i could read into it, it was basically a report talking about how it failed due to the fact of missing drivers, and other system files, the only way we're gonna get video out with the MHL adapter, is if the files needed would be released, or someone found compatible ones, so as of right now, video out is not possible

I have been wondering the same thing about this mhl adapter, found some on amazon and ebay for around 10 bucks but was wondering if anyone else had tried it and had any luck with it...I really liked this feature on my Triumph, but the triumph gave me so many issues that it wasn't worth keeping just for that. Liking the warp a lot better just curious if this was possible...

if the usb has MHL, then we could use that. but I have not found any were the say that the ZTE Warp has MHL built into the usb...

Well yeah, because its not shipped with it.. im not sure if that's software fixable or not. I havnt looked into this really and I couldnt really find any straight answers on it

From what i've read, even if we get kernel mod I don't believe it's going to be possible, ZTE's build.prop has that line available I believe because of it's other devices like Tablet's that do it hardware enabled and i just think they are too lazy to remove a line of code for the warp...

well there mite be away to do it but im not realy sure how

back in the orginal psp modding days before there was a psp that had tv out
there was a hombrew that ported the screen ether threw wifi or over usb to a computer that was running some server software that would show your psp game on the computer monitor

there was also something that was like a video camera that sat on the face and sent a video of the screen to a tv

it should be possible on android because there are aps that make our phone screen a secound monitor for the pc some how its got to work in reverse

Well i went and bought a HTC mhl adapter and i removed the # from the build.prop and rebooted and hooked it up to my tv and nothing happened...
